[a long pause.]
"Anyway, yeah, we're related. Good call."
The name's Maurice Maurice, this here's Morris Maurice, and that's Luigi Maurice.
I am already a fan of the Bottlefly Boys.
Me too. Which means they'll be the first to die.
That -would- be an excellent way to create some fear. If these healthy, powerful men can be rubbed out, what hope is there for Mr. Zane?
Also, I can apparently predict the future.
Spend enough time on TV Tropes, and you’ll start calling major plot twists.
Given his past luck, this is going a little bit too well.
Really liking the coloring. And I share sheanam's liking for the Bottlefly Boys.
"A'course not. Ya can't marry your relations, ya silly goose."
I love this comic in such a profound way. Every aspect of it is drenched in originality. All I feel when I read this comic is a horrid sense of dread mixed with inspiration.
I enjoy all of Kris Straubs art but I am of the opinion that this may very well be his masterwork.
I would also like to say that is the Broodhollow logo was released as a pin I would buy like a billion of them.
But everyone would think you're wearing it upside-down!
Alright, when's the Broodhollow merch coming out? I need that logo on a shirt, on a hat, on a coffee mug and on a decal I can permanently etch into my car window.
Take our money Kris Straub!
I hope these guys are the town's equivalent of the Ghostbusters. Like, they just try to punch the ghosts.
Kris' description of Broodhollow as "Tintin goes to Innsmouth" is really starting to make sense here. Wadsworth already bore a physical resemblance to Tintin, and the Bottlefly Boys have a Hergé vibe, too. Like they're one part Captain Haddock, one part Thompson and Thompson, or something. I guess that makes Dr. Angstrom Broodhollow's Professor Calculus?
Anyway, it'll be an interesting balancing act to populate a world with likeable, colorful characters while also consistently bringing the dread, but you seem to be pulling it off so far.
So, French, British, and Russian? These guys are the Triple Entente? I wonder if they have nemeses who are German, Italian, and Austro-Hungarian.
They all have that heavy squint, maybe they don't like light very much.
