Holy shmow, those last two panels are AMAZING.
holy god, this is incredible
I am so proud of you, my beautiful kristobell
Very very cool.
creep factor rising fast!
Kris this is amazing and I love it
that's the coolest art I've ever seen you do. love the story too.
Every time I read this page it maintains its creepiness factor. I get goosebumps every time. You are off to a great start, sir.
Yeah, there's no way Zane isn't 100% bonkers.
Oh, crap, all right then. Poor guy has serious OCD and night terrors :( I want to give him a hug. Er, provided he's not against touching.
I love this, I am so on board.
Wow, those last two panels are absolutely spectacular. It's such an awesome shift from Zane's simple expressions of worry and apprehension to the beautifully rendered reason why he should be terrified.
1. I really really want to give Wadsworth smooches <3
2.That monster is horryifying and I will have nightmares for sure :(
3. This comic is sososos good!!! :D
for number 1 you'll have to fight iris, for number 2 we all will especially when we find out who it is, and for 3 we all agree with you
You clever, clever bastard, Kris. Shifting styles like that – genius!
For some reason, I was worried it was going to take longer to get to the horror. Glad to see I was wrong on that front and the last two panels are truly creepy.
Oh, man! This comic is what I want! Hungry for more.
Awesome work! I love the new style you're using for this comic.
Jeez, is there any genre you're NOT good at? F*ck you, Kris. Just…f*ck you.
I'm loving this. The switch of style at the end is brilliant. Top drawer stuff.
Great job! Love the new strip!
Add my voice to the others, the switch from stylized to detailed was jarring!
This is exactly what I have been looking for since I got into webcomics, as well as what I am trying now with my own work (which is being put to shame). Will there be an update schedule?
Soo . . . umm, this isn't gonna be a funny strip is it?
I think I'm gonna like it.
This reminds me of that moment in Buffy (season 5, episode 9 "Listening To Fear"), where Buffy's mother is apparently going crazy, staring up at the ceiling and saying weird stuff, and then there's the big reveal – we see what she sees, and there's a really creepy monster on the ceiling.
Good job, Kris; I loved your Starsliip series, and I can tell already that Broodhollow is going to be a great story to follow.
Talk about skeletons in the closet…
I have come back to this page about 8 times already. I can't wait for the next Ustream because I want to watch you create art like this.
God damn. Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm already thinking this will be better than Starslip (which I adored). It's grabbing me harder and earlier, at least.
I'm getting kind of a Skin Taker vibe from that skeleton…
A-a-and I'm sold.
Singly the creepiest thing i've read in online comics.
Ohhh, thats never a good sign…
Hells yes! Great pacing and great art! I can't believe I didn't search for Broodhollow before. Sometimes I am dense.
He's already way too superstitious and now these kind of dreams? Push him over that edge into that abyss that has been staring back at him all this time.
That… thing… was much less creepy when I thought it was just a skeleton. Very creepy. I had a definite "do not want" face when I saw it. Just started reading, like it so far – great art style – very retro!

“Who Framed Rodger Rabbit” meets “Hellraiser” is my strange impression so far.
